'-rraphy' refers to the procedure required to repair a structure which is either damaged or congenitally defective. For example, a tendon repair is a tendorraphy, or a herniorraphy is the repair of a hernia. It's the suffix added to the body part in need of surgery, resulting in the name of the surgical procedure.
