Are these drinking glasses glass or plastic? If its plastic, then there may be no fix (over time the hot water used in dishwashers could break down the plastic, giving the illusion of a film when its just been etched.)
You could try rinsing them in a dishpan of 1/2 white vinegar and 1/2 water. The acid in the vinegar is just enough to remove any residue on the glasses.
