    1. Go to the web"" page whose HTML you'd like to examine.

    2. Call up the "source" of the page. The source is the full HTML file. On most browsers, you can view the source just by holding "Ctrl" or "Command" and then hitting "U." (In Safari, hold down both "Option" and "Command," then hit "U.")

If that doesn't work, use a menu item to view the source. In Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera and Safari, you'll find it in the "View" menu. On Google Chrome"", click the "page" icon in the upper right, go to "Developer," then select "Page Source."

    3. Save the HTML file if you'd like to consult it later. This is especially easy in Internet Explorer, as the source opens in the Notepad program. In other browsers, you may have to copy and paste the HTML into another document.
