convert is at this time installing itself without my permission. How do I stop it?

It's been in the process of doing this for 'hours' and there is no place to make it stop!!

Right click on the installation and click cancel.  A reboot of your computer may cancel it too. If you downloaded something recently, then this program probably came with the download and you did not uncheck the approval box. You have to watch for those when downloading free apps.
