To the left of the lights knob there is a button you can press to turn the dome lights on and off. If you press it 4 times it will turn your running lights off. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_disable_daytime_running_lights_on_a_2000_gmc_safari_van?#slide=3
