It really depends on the girl. A shy girl may be too afraid to even LOOK at you, much less say hello or smile or flirt. A brassy girl may get right in your face and be obvious (and probably a little disgusting). A smart girl will be friendly, but not overly so, pay just a little more attention to YOU than other guys, and will look for opportunities to talk with you. She probably will touch you when you are talking (for emphasis), and make good eye contact with you. Note that she'll be dressing a little nicer than she normally does.
IF you treat her with respect and courtesy, she'll like you even more.

Eye contact, (pupils dilate while looking at you) touching your hand or other body contact when she talks, when she walks away, does she stop-turn and take a last glance? And finally, you might just ask her but that's a 50/50 chance of getting the truth.

if she looks at you often. If she tosses or smoothes down her hair around you. If she blushes around you. Does she talk to her girl friends a lot about you ? Ask her g.friends, or her sister if she likes you. Or have someone tell her you like her. Then, watch her reaction. If she seems to want to go out of her way to talk to you.
