    IF A KETTLE IS PLUGGED INTO A RECEPTACLE BUT IS NOT TURNED ON DOES IT STILL USE POWER ????

    So little it isn't worth mentioning, but, at my house, if you aren't using it, it's probably unplugged (exception is the television).

    If there is a little pilot light on it..it's using power.
