I think Gracie was referring to the winter weather alert.There was supposed to be a snow storm hitting the upper midwest on 12-14-13   It was a broad band of snow.

Chicago and Michigan , which are fairly close to  eachother, got lots of snow on that date. The Detroit area got 5 " and a couple of counties to the south of us got  7 or 8"  I couldn't go anywhere today, b/c there was a big mound of snow up against my garage door.And it wasn't time to snow-blow or shovel it, b/c it was still coming down. It's supposed to quit snowing about at 12 MN  .
