Is it getting very hot? It happened with my Hewlett Packard. There is a built in component that stops it from overheating by shutting it down. It has been fixed and hasn't happened since.

Hi, I wouldn't say unduly hot. Is it possible that I inadvertently set a timer in operation? It is always about a hour into operation! I have an emachines/E529 laptop. What is the component please and how expensive is it?
