    We have some property via an LLC. We have tried to sell it for over five years. The taxes are simply beyond our ability to pay them any longer. Can we just abandon the property? Just stop paying the taxes?

    Lower the price you are asking for the property. You will lose your credit rating if the state puts a lean on it and then takes it to sell themselves. If it sells for less than the taxes owed (plus fees) you are still responsible for the outstanding taxes and fees.
