No that's in Southend Dennis, I live near Colchester, but I'm in Harwich most days at the moment.
Yes Dennis Colchester still has military prison, Military Corective Training Centre, MCTC it's called. Harwich is the main port for The Hook of Holland and Germany. It was a main military departure post during the two world wars too. There is a Hospital and an Avenue named Fryatt also, I looked it up and he was a merchant sea captain during the 1st world war, he rammered a german navy boat with his ship and sank it, the next time he was heading across the North Sea he was stopped and arrested by the Germans, and was charged and shot (murdered) He is still well remembered as a hero of that time.
