We don't normally celebrate TG in the UK, this year will be different though as "someone" has insisted we at least have a special dinner.

    Maybe we should eat Turgookin!

This will be the first time I've been to my aunt's for a holiday.  She ordered from Marie Callendar, but I am supplying an additional turkey (nearly 21 pounds), and she is getting a ham.  Cousin is going to make a huge pot of pilaf because stuffing x2 isn't enough starch.  This past Sunday, there was an immediate family (plus a couple of my nephew's pals) at my sister's for a pre-TG dinner.  My grandchildren won't be with us this Thanksgiving, but I'm hoping my son makes an appearance.  I'm pretty sure the other two are "for sure".
Blessings and happy day to one and all.

Marie Callendar's dinner looks good. We're going to relatives and everyone takes something. I'm taking Cobb Salad and my traditional fruit salad. It's easy.
Two cans of pineapple tidbits, 2 cans of mandarin oranges, little marshmallows, walnuts, marachino cherries and dress it with whipped cream. (I have never taken that very simple salad any place where there is any left over. Easy peasy for the lazy cook.

itsmee, those are the best recipes! Reminds me of the jello, cottage cheese, and fruit cocktail mixture my aunt use to make. YUMMY.
    Enjoy the holiday!

My mother in law used to make that with lime jello and pineapple. Come to think of it, I'm not sure jello will jell if you put pineapple in it. Whatever it was, I loved it.

Me, too! My "Jello" cookbook is one of my favorites!

Going to his daughters house. This will be the first year she is doing buffet style as there are 16 people for dinner. It will be nice I'm sure. Hopefully the winter storm warning for this area will have blown itself out by then! Happy Thanksgiving to ALL!
