      Issue 2 would provide County Council with more time to approve appointments made by the county executive. In the past, council did not always have enough time to vet candidates within a 30-day window. The amendment would give the council 60 days to conduct a full review. It also would allow the county executive to make interim appointments for 120 days without having to get council approval. We support the amendment.
