Make sure you removed the tape from the end of the cartridge before putting it into the printer. Make sure the cartridge is seared correctly on the carriage. On your printer control panel, find setup then tools or just tools, then find align print cartridges. Run a test sheet. You can also find "clean print cartridges" under tools. Run that too.
