    why will my 04 pt cruiser not idle

    We have put new plugs coil pack and  wires and it still will not idle on my 04 pt cruiser..the engine light is flashing on and off.. it will run down the road but it is weak.

      I have an '03 PT Cruiser, and I've taken it go be repaired  3 X  lately !   .........because the engine light was on. This 3rd time I got it back from the repair shop, the next day, the engine light came on again !  I didn't take it back a 4th time, b/c they always say it's a computer sensor in the engine indicating  this or that is wrong. The car actually did die on me one night after the first time the  engine light went on. Is your car standard trans ?
