Until you are 100 per cent how to turn it on, wait for your parents, your manager, or a knowing neighbor comes by. Don't risk your life by pushing the wrong buttons. Put on a sweater, socks, and a hat until then.

But an electric blanket. They're cheap and will save on your power bill.
