That's Obama trying to scare the people into siding with him. Social Security should not be part of the budget. It is it's own entity because the people have paid into it. It's not the fault of the people that it has been dipped into every time the government needs more money to spend. The taxes the government continues to collect are enough to pay SS, SSI, welfare and other essential spending.
