I don't think it would hurt you to hold one or two farts back.When don't you just excuse yourself and go to the bathroom.

honestly speaking i wouldn't mind my girl's stench for to me she is not just anyone,though if it was somebody else i'd be thankful if they do it where i won't be exposed...

jh, Yup. They must be new , b/c when it's new,it can cause a nervous build up of farts...when you're a young adult.

My friend's special needs nephew (45) had a colostomy bag "installed" in January. He has no control over farts; they are just part of the elimination process for him.

He is embarrassed when one passes, as they are audible and unintentional. If someone hears it who doesn't know the circumstances, they think he did it on purpose and are repulsed.

Excuse yourself and go to the bathroom. Exposing anyone to your bodily functions is rude.

I had a boss who had the procedure. When it made noise, he made light of it and would say, "who asked for your opinion" while looking at his side where it hung. We all learned to sympathize with his circumstance.

That's making the best of a bad situation. It takes a big person (on the inside) to laugh at himself. Sounds like his staff respected him.

There's a thing called social etiquette. Social etiquette would dictate that you be respectful around others and not offend them with stench coming from your rear end. Removing yourself to an area where your stink will not offend the senses of others would be appropriate. So to answer your question, no, it is not wrong to hold gas back.

This question is bizarre in the sense that it should not even have to be asked.

It's up to the individual if they want to degrade themselves or not. Personally I feel that would be disrespectful to your partner, not to mention the embarrassment.
