My kid put extremely wet clothes in a dryer and turned it on. Now the dryer heats up but, makes a loud clicking noise and does not tumble anymore.I'm thinking the motor went. Any suggestions?

Wet clothing doesn't allow proper ventilation while tumbling clothes. This in turn causes electrical shorts steam in chamber and reduces airflow. Reduced airflow will cause the drier to shut off on an over temperature condition. Let it dry out for a few days and try it. Hopefully it will work.
