Knowledge is a great thing.
There is knowledge and there is KNOWLEDGE. Knowing my 'grandmother's name' is knowledge you don't need.
I live in the UK and was taught the history of our country while in school, these things are necessary for young people to learn about, I don't wish to know the name of your Grandmother, this does not interest me or bother me,on the other hand all of history interests me, go figure!
