Check the sleep timer on the TV. It could be set to power the TV off after 15 minutes. If it is turning off 5 minutes after you turn it on again, then I again suspect it is over heating. Make sure the cooling vents are clear of dust. Other than that, you can try the trouble shooting section of your owners manual or call Visio support http://www.vizio.com/ (click the support tab at the top of the page).
