    what way you turn the chopsaw on for crown molding

    You turn the moulding upside down on your dropsaw.Cut the right hand side at 45 degrees & the left side the opposite.make sure that the corner is 90 degrees first with a protractor.If it is not 90 deg divide the angle by 2 & set your saw at that mitre.In other words if the angle measures 95 deg then set your saw mitre at 47.5 deg.Good luck. It can be confusing until you get used to it.

    Tip, do not use up your expensive mouldings learning.  Use scrap lumber as mark-ups to practice.
