    I have a 2005 nissan xterra rhat wont start due to my having to stop to avoid an accident and now it wont start could this be the starter or timing chain broke please help

    You may have a fuel pump cut off switch in the car somewhere. When you jammed on the brakes to avoid the accident, it could have activated the cut off switch. I do not know your car so can not say for sure if your car is equipped with the safety switch but the 2000's have one.
