i have a hp 2009 notebook and changed internet co. from frontier to hughes and the guy that came out to hook up my internet on this note book did not get me connected with the inter net
when trying to get on computer says invalid gateway .help me please.although my desktop is working fine. Iam stumped

Call the company that sent the guy out and ask them what the steps are for you to get connected.
I'm pretty sure there is instruction via your computer, but you need to know the name of the internet connection you are using, and sometimes you have to have some stupid secret code number.
Perhaps you need to use the same "path" you have on your regular computer.

What did they tell you? I'm the kind of (pesky person) who would call them again and ask for step by step instructions or suggest the genius get back out here and fix the problem. I don't think he should have left without making sure you had the connection.
Be insistent; if there was a charge for that service, make sure you are noting every phone call and response so you have backup for NOT paying that bill until the job is complete to YOUR satisfaction.
