at 180,000 miles per second, depending on server delays and route to England about 1/1000 of a second. But that's assuming a straight line no traffic jams, no server re-routes, etc. Email does not travel a straight line, it travels gateways and the ones that offer the least resistance. Not always fast. But even slow, its faster than ground mail by far. :)
