    2000 Ford taurus BMC repair or replace?

    Mechanic says it's no good but can't find the same part number nor is there a cross reference for an updated part number.

      Have you tried contacting a Ford dealer? Many dealers have repair garages attached. They should be able to find replacement parts for their own vehicles.
