Check under and on the couches, chairs, and tables. Look under and behind. Did someone leave the door open? In its cage? In the bathroom? Bedroom? LOOK EVERYWHERE.
Seriously, those little critters are f-a-s-t and sooooo quiet. My friend is allergic to everything BUT bunnies and horses, and living in the city doesn't leave much room for a horse, so...
She has a harness and very long leash for her bunny, so when they are outside, he isn't going to be taking off down the street. Inside, he's the run of the house, so it's anybody's guess. A collar with a bell won't hurt, either.
