    dot hour of service and how to log

    I haul rvs and have to compley with DOT log books we are Canadians and hual for a US company . my Question is do we have to log hrs when traveling back to the US after delivering our load, We were told that if you are empty and not being paid you dont have to log ?

      As long as you are driving a commercial vehicle and hold a commercial license you still have to log your hours even with an empty.

        if you are driveing a pickup you do not have to log

        No, only Class A vehicles and some Class B's.
