I just want to add to the other replies which are all quite correct. Recently I too had these symptoms and had tests etc which found high levels of sugar in my blood. I was shocked as I am being treated for something quite different and assumed it was side effects from medication. The Doctor has prescribed me metformin tabs which seem to be helping.....Do go and have a blood test for this, it will put your mind at rest x

Yes, there are blood test. I had one and had to drink a liquid sucker for it. My b.s. was 750! I'm on insulin now. Call your dr. for t he test.
