If you mean the thermostat, it will be located on the water pump under a housing. There will be a radiator hose leading to it.

The sensor which controls the A/C and the temperature gauge in the dash. This sensor also will start the electric fans to high speed when it fails open. This sensor on my car is good for a while then fails to zero on the dash gauge.
This sounds like a climate control issue and I know nothing about that. You're going to have to have a mechanic check it out. He can at least tell you what's wrong and you can decide from there if you can fix it yourself of not.
