It's just plain impatience that causes it.It's like they haven't got 5 seconds to spare.One guy tail gated me for about 3 miles one morning,then overtook me & slammed on his brakes.We both stopped & he got out of his car to give me a mouthful,so I got out of my car.He got back in his car & drove away quickly.Not a word was exchanged.

I don't tailgate anymore. When I am being tailgated, I tend to gradually slow down, or wag my index finger at the jackass behind me. I can only go as fast as the jackass in FRONT of me, after all!
