"What direction will your brother tell me is the better path to take?"

The truthful brother will tell you the wrong direction (because that is what his brother will say).  The liar will also tell you the wrong direction (because his brother would tell you the right way, so the liar will NOT tell you that).

    Go the opposite direction.

But you can only ask one question. So once you ask one of those questions, you can not now ask which direction to take.

    THANKS, "HECTOR"!!

It's Saturday and I'm toasting pecans. Busy and you want me to think? Pooh on you.......

I've spent the morning pulling weeds from what should have been my back yard, and vegetating in front of the computer. Hope you are feeling better. Remember, the end result is going to be worth the pain and suffering. You can't say that about everything in life!!

I wouldn't pose the question to either one, knowing that I had only a 50-50 chance of going the right way!  Hey, I've approached many crossroads in life and guess what? I was actually right about half the time!    LOL!!!

Don't ask! Drive on to the next servo & buy a map.

Well, who would have thought of that!!! :)

I guess it depends on where you are going! UPS (United Parcel Service) in the USA this past year told all their drivers to make right turns! They said it would save gas or fuel!

Oh, brother. What genius came up with that.

Heh heh heh! The truthful brother? I still say we don't know where we are going so which way to turn is moot!

Why not just ask the brother who always tells the truth?

but you dont know ,which one tells the truth or lies,Colleen,

The man would ask either one of them, "What would your brother say?"

If the right path is the correct path, then:

The lying brother (would lie about what his brother would say) would answer, "He will tell you to turn left"

The truth telling brother will say, "My brother lies so he will tell you to turn left".

So the right path is the correct path to take.

    That about wraps itt up,Colleen,

If I were to ask your brother if the road to the right is the one I should  take to continue my journey, would you agree with him?

    VERY NEARLY,
