    what is the width of aa rectangular lot that has a prrimeter 0f 440 ft and  length of 145feet

        For rectangular plot, 


        perimeter = 2(length + width)


        or, 440 = 2(145+ width)


        or, 220 = 145 + width       [ Dividing both sides by 2]


        or, 220 -145 = width 


        So, width = 75 feet
