    how do i check tranny fluid in a 2003 pontiac grand am

    Found on the web: "the transmission need to be at operating temperature, with the engine running and in park, remove the plug. it is locate under the car, near where the right axle comes out of the tranny. remove the plug and the fluid should be level with the hole, so add fluid till it comes out. this should be done on a hoist, if you do it in the driveway, you are probly using jack stands and the car wont be level, so you will over fill it, not good" Source: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_check_the_transmission_fluid_in_a_2003_grand_am_through_the_check_plug_since_they_do_not_have_dipsticks
