hey mate ,,i had a Kia Sportage,,i do not know what country you are from..but in Australia i simply buy a Ryco oil filter,drop the bung on the sump first,,unscrew the filter anti-clockwise,,leave for 30 minuets to drain,,then follow instructions on the new filter,,,then put the requierd  amount of oil in the top ,,and away you go
