        You are using the word "hire" as a noun (person, place, thing, idea), and I think of it as an action, which makes it difficult for me to give you a straight answer.  
        I'm going to substitute "zone" for "hire".
        I am in the "zone".   I am on the "zone".      


        I AM IN THE ZONE.

          I am for hire would be the terminology used in the USA. "I am for hire" or "Taxi for hire".
