Apart from the price and quality difference, the cars are like chalk and cheese, the question is meaningless.

The percentive difference might not be great where you reside, here in Australia there is a dramatic difference, especially when a 45% tarrif comes into effect on on cars over $45, 000, unfortunatelty we have not the population to aid us in turn over of cars, we pay through the nose for what is considered up market cars. It has long been regarded that Austalia is a dumping ground for unsold preceded models over seas, especially right hand drive countries like Japan.
My guess, the quality of cars that a teenager can afford comes into play. Why get something that you cannot afford to repair? I would go with the Honda, as there will be plenty of parts at scrap yards, and the BMW has barriers which prevent you from working on it, assuming that you are planning on doing some repairs yourself.
