      Put the decimal place in the answer space, directly under the ones in the column. Now add.


      9 + 9 + 9 + 9 = 4x9 =36   6 in the 100ths place, carry the 3
      3 + 8 + 7 + 3 + 7 = 28      8 in the 10ths place, carry the 2
      2 + 3 + 2 = 7                     7 in the 1s place

          Think of decimals as money, based upon ten and hundred, it you added this as if you had purchased items for those amounts, it may be easier for you.
