    the reason i ask about the seting on reed valves, is because the bike was running fine und died. and only has 30 # of compr. the valves were carboned up prety bad. i cleaned them but still wont run

      reed valves have to do with crankcase compression, for transfer ports,..to re charge the cylinder on DOWN stroke of piston,  I would suspect a broken piston ring, or small hole burned in piston,...used to work in a Suzuki shop long ago, and remember very well 2 stroke malidies....Bob Rode..
