How old is this "puppy"? A puppy does not have any interest in "that". A male dog is not mature for breeding until around 2 years old. That's when they begin to show an interest. If this "puppy" is old enough, get him neutered.

Don't sell any male short when it comes to being over sexed (except me). There is a pet shop in my 'hood that sells Malteses. They have a window and I see them every time I pass by. There were two puppies,which couldn't have been more than a few weeks old and they were "getting it on!" I stayed with them after the "act". Unlike a human, he did not immediately turn over and go to sleep.
They have no idea what they are doing. I've seen female puppies do it to. Nothing to worry over.
