I believe life is a creation of a higher power. That everything in existence comes from it. There is no way to prove either theory, God or evolution, that I know of however. 

As an atheist I think that life evolved and that a divine creator is complete fiction. On the one hand with evolution you have empirical evidence, logic and reason to support it. But, religion is supposition and  faith which is arbitrary, and totally without any form of verification. It files in the face of logic and as our knowledge increases the things that religion explained become fewer and fewer. In my opinion, religion is like a soothing balm, it makes people feel better and does provide a certain structure to relationships and life. But, it's a still a deception, in my opinion.
