    Does new call indicator on a cordless phone mean the same as call waiting caller id?

    I am trying to find out exactly what new call indicator and missed call indicator mean on a new cordless phone. Does it mean when you are on a call and someone new is calling you get the name and number on the caller id screen?

      Not really .
      The call indicator will blink or do something when a call is coming in
      Call waiting is a botton that you have to press on when a call is coming in to accept the incoming call
