      Six months but some banks may call the person who wrote it and if it is okayed, they will cash it for you.

        I assumed with the spelling of "cheque", that it was a Canadian who was asking but, of course, you could also be right.

        I Have a lady friend ,who has cheques,to her from a bankers diveden,over a year old,do you think they might still honer them,??
