      You could try checking the plugs, if this isn't the problem, time for the professionals.

        the "engine" shaped yellow light could also be telling you that your is due for a service, in which case, the srevicing garage should be able to turn it off for you, but if it is for a genuine fault on the car, it will give a "fault code" a garage should tell you what the code/fault is !!! good luck !!!

          All the previous answers are to be applied! However an engine light can go off if the gas cap is not tight or if you put gas in your car with engine running!  Any way to be safe see the mechanic! All jobs are important!
