I have both! Sweet animals , good pets!

A dog takes longer to cook,

I choose Dog-- I don't want an animal that thinks it is smarter than me.

How can we choose

they're both adorable

They each serve a useful purpose in their own way.............

You classified the question as "Food & Drink." I sure hope it's a cat! 

Dogs do not scratch at their poo, then jump up on your counter to see what you are getting ready for dinner!  So I would say dogs, paws down!

I love dogs, but cats are more civilized. Cats don't eat their own vomit or poop......or bark loudly all the time. Cats don't stick their nose up your butt. Cats don't slobber all over you and your guests and then go drink loudly out of the toilet. Cats don't drink a little boy's stream of urine while he's peeing in the toilet. Can't don't eat your socks, slippers, strings off a beef roast, and checkers.......then have it all come out in their poop.And cats don't try to mount your guest's leg .
