I toss mine in when I do a load of laundry. Keep in mind that sponges are a welcome home for bacteria.......

Oops! I just re-read the question. I think these sponges are full of ink! lol
Oh, no. Wash your sponges (for cleaning) in the washing machine. I do until they are just lumps....
i spray mine with antibacterial cleaner and pop it in the microwave for a couple of minutes. I;m surprised one has never caught on fire! (*~*)
