    How would an advertising plan for a small retailer differ from that of a large retail chain?

    A small retailer with a small geographic customer reach would limit its' advertising budget to mediums that emulate its' reach. Local weekly newspapers get the message out in a much more cost-effective way than city dailies.


    Other inexpensive ways to advertise are the different social media such as facebook and twitter. These have become so popular that large retailers use them as well.

    The one word answer is COST.

    A smaller retailer might have smaller revenues. Smaller revenues might result in less money being allocated for advertising.
