My Nokia C3 won't let me change a speed dial

When I try to change a speed dial on my Nokia C3, the "change" option does not come up. It won't let me either change or delete the existing assigned number

Make sure you are following all these steps:

Change numbers
Select Menu > Contacts > Speed dials (or Speed dialling or More > Speed dials).
Scroll to the entry you wish to change and select Options > Change. You are asked to confirm the change.
Enter the new number and select OK, then enter a name for the number and select OK.
OR
Select Search to retrieve a number from contacts.
