I know several folks with lupus. It is a deadly disease, putting my cousin in the hospital with kidney, liver, and heart failure after a couple hours' tanning the day before, at age 23. She suffered total kidney failure after giving birth to her son.
Lupus can attack anywhere and everywhere at will. I do not know much about hep c, but am sure that is no vacation either. It primarily affects the liver.
