    why does a 50 cc moped cut off after starting

    i have a 50cc vip moped that will start and after about 15 seconds cuts off

      Could be a clog in the fuel line or gummed up filter or water in the fuel or the float needle is not seated correctly. There are many reasons. Might even be a choke or carb issue. You need someone who knows what they are doing to look at it.
